withoutverona: ([au] with juliet)
So Gnomeo had promised not to leave Dojima. He meant it, too, and he spent Saturday reasonably happy as he rode about in her handbag.

But then he heard something on the radio about Juliet cheering on a squirrel race, and, well, he couldn't be blamed for deciding to escape and go find her after that. He was positive it was the right Juliet as soon as the broadcast called her adorable.

It took most of the day, and he almost got run over by a rickshaw twice and had to fend off a cat with a broken broomstick once, but in the end, he made it to the school gardens and spotted her. His Juliet. He approached her softly, calling her name, and she was beaming as she turned to him.

"I found you," he said.

"I wasn't lost," she teased, and reached for a hug. "I wasn't sure if you were here."

"I am," he said, folding her into his arms. "And now everything is all right again."

And it was.

withoutverona: ([au] happy)
Gnomeo had never woken up inside a house before! This was incredibly exciting, even if he was a little perplexed that he couldn't remember exactly how he'd gotten here.

He eyed the human in the bed to make sure she was soundly asleep before noiselessly climbing down the sheet to the floor. He'd need to find his way back to the garden soon (and hopefully before anyone realized he was missing), but right now the room was his.

He'd start by tracking down something to eat. There were some brightly colored plastic packages on top of a counter that looked promising...

Yurika whined at the sound of someone shuffling around and pulled the pillow over her head... )

[OOC: Preplayed with the beautiful [livejournal.com profile] dojima_hime. To be continued in the comments!]
withoutverona: ([AU] Luke is too young to be hot)
It wasn't like Luke Brower was actually surprised when he woke up in a room he didn't recognize. Sure, the Seavers seemed like really cool people, but he wasn't the first foster kid to think he had a good thing going right until he got the "this isn't working out" speech. Maybe they had just skipped the speech and gone right to taking him to the new place. And, hey, it saved him saying goodbye. He wasn't going to bother getting mad.

Besides, the new room was way awesome. The bed was huge and soft, and while the room was full of somebody else's stuff, the other person seemed to have taken off. Luke showered -- fancy soap in the bathroom -- and yanked on a pair of khakis that were only a little too big and a long-sleeved t-shirt before he headed out to find food and somebody who could tell him where the Seavers had dumped him.

[OOC: 'Stablishy, though you can catch him here if you really want. He is Luke Brower from Growing Pains. Leo was 16-17 and looked about 13 when he played the part, so the effect is very "Romeo's little brother."]
withoutverona: (smoking so beautiful)
It was a cold day, and quiet on the beach, but anyone out for a walk might notice a blond seated on a rock, hugging himself as he stared at the water. A pen and notepad were by his side, but he wasn't actually writing anything.

The last few days couldn't be real. Him, a con man named Frank? It must be some kind of delusion caused by drinking too much during I Never, the foul game. (Which reminded him, he might do well to talk to Inara again.)

And if it wasn't real, it mean he hadn't emptied his bank account and gotten his wallet stolen, and he feared what his father would have to say about that. And he certainly hadn't called Master Skywalker "Pal" or Teyla "sweetie", flirted with two cute sisters (though he had a hard time regretting that one too much, despite his dead wife), gotten drunk with someone from a ship that sank 90 years before, learned way too much about the entertainment industry, or rambled on to Amber about it being 1966.

And no way, no way, had he gotten his life threatened over a mere $300, let alone been enough of a coward to turn and run.

Of course, if it wasn't real, that didn't explain the pilot's cap that had been in his coat pocket that morning. With a final glance at the waves and the sad realization he was past due at work, Romeo stood and walked back to town.

[OOC: Open if you're on the beach, I guess.]
withoutverona: (Frank is a pilot rilly!)
Frank Abagnale rolled out of bed almost silently, not realizing it wasn't *his* bed until his feet hit the floor.

He'd woken up in worse places, though not with (he rubbed his head) a hangover this bad in a while. He hoped the brunette in the other bed had been worth it, whatever had happened.

Glancing around for anything to orient him, Frank found a pair of discarded pants that looked like they'd fit him, with a wallet in the pocket. "Jackpot," he murmured, cracking the wallet open.

There wasn't much at first, just a bunch of credit cards and what looked like a school photo of a pretty teenage girl. But when he found a driver's license, he was startled to see his face staring back at him and had to pull it out to examine it more carefully, admiring the craftsmanship. Even though there were obvious flaws -- "Romeo Montague" was a weird name for a scam, too memorable, and the ID's date of birth was a typo, 1990 instead of 1940 -- the photo was great, and the whole thing looked very professional, even high-tech. The credit cards were all in the same name, too. A moment's fumbling in a desk drawer, and he found a checkbook to match, with a bank book showing an impressive balance.

Maybe he had done it while he was drunk? Finders keepers, whoever made the stuff, and Frank was not about to wait around for the brunette to wake up and tell him otherwise. He stuffed the wallet and checkbook in his uniform pocket, donned his pilot's cap at a rakish angle, and headed out.

[OOC: Establishy. Teyla modded with permission. Romeo is Frank Abagnale from Catch Me If You Can.]
